What is the Livermore Valley Vintner’s Collective? The (LVVC) is a group of 6 highly motivated, visionary winemakers in the Livermore Valley. Driven by collaboration and inspiration, we decided to begin a winemaking project wherein each year, the group is given a framework of varietals to work with, be it a recipe, to make a wine. Although the framework is the same, each winemaker’s blend is totally unique and made of their own wines - a representation of the specified grapes from the appellation, but with the fingerprints of each winemaker’s personality. Would you end up with 6 similar wines? Will they be drastically different? 

The 2023 blend project was 30-40% Cabernet Sauvignon with the remainder being up to 25% of each additional wine with no more than 5 wines total in the blend. My unique blend is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Primitivo, 25% Petite Sirah and 10% Cabernet Franc
