What is the Livermore Valley Vintner’s Collective? The (LVVC) is a group of 6 highly motivated, visionary winemakers in the Livermore Valley. Driven by collaboration and inspiration, we decided to begin a winemaking project wherein each year the group is given a framework, or a recipe, of varietals and percentages to create a vintage blend that would showcase the Livermore Valley appellation. Although the framework of the blend is the same, each winemaker’s blend is made of their own wines and is totally unique - a representation of the specified grapes from the appellation and vintage year, but with the fingerprints of each winemaker’s personality.  Would you end up with 6 similar wines? Will they be drastically different? 

The 2022 blend project was 30-40% Cabernet Sauvignon with the remainder being up to 25% of each additional wine with no more than 5 wines total in the blend. My unique blend is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 25% Zinfandel and 10% Cabernet Franc
