This cabernet was sourced from the award-winning Thatcher Bay Vineyards in Livermore, California. The fruit was hand-picked, crushed whole berry, and cold-soaked with dry ice for 5 days prior to fermentation, with an extended maceration of 15 days.  It was aged for 26 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels prior to bottling.

The wine is righteously assertive, yet elegantly supple in texture, with pleasing leather and tobacco aromas and lovely cassis, cherry and chocolate flavors bolstered by snappy, smooth tannins.
