The Quatro Blend is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon from Smith Ranch in Livermore Valley, 49% Merlot from Moon Vineyard in Carneros and 1% Cabernet Franc.  The fruit was hand picked, crushed whole berry and cold soaked with dry ice for 5 days prior to fermentation with an extended maceration of 10 days.  It was aged in French Oak for 26 months, prior to bottling.  

The wine offers aromas of briar patch, cedar and chocolate truffle, which carry on to the palate where cherry brandy, cassis, chestnut and baking spice add complexity and interest.  A well-structured and well-mannered blend that will reward aging.  Pair with gourmet sausages, juicy burgers or steak sandwiches.
